2.2 /2.4 Suspension Kit

So I called Eibach today casue I previously owned An Eibach Sportline System Plus. I loved the thing gave me the handling I wanted plus the daily drivability. In addition to that it was only 700 bucks. But any way they said as of now there is nothing in the works for a kit like that for the Balt. However I did some homework for something similar.

GM SS S/C Front shocks 127.14 x 2
GM SS S/C Rear Strut 70.63 x 2
Eibach Sportlines from Shox.com 239
Eibach Antiroll Kit from Shox.com 315.
Grand Total 950 plus tax and shipping.

This will greatly improve handling by killing body roll, increase the damper, stiffen up the ride, Im currently saving for all of this and a Set of 17's. This thing will handle like a dream when i am done

I'm having the SS's "performance and handling" struts and shocks put on my 2.2 next week along with the eibach prolines (I know, I know...why not the sportlines? Well, if you lived in my town and drove these roads all the time you'd understand...). No sway bars though...don't have the money for those just yet. I'll let you know how it turns out!

How about a DC Sports strut bar (around $90)

Arrow cheaper parts

Hey, check out newgmparts.com (it's actually a Pontiac dealership out on Cape Cod that sells parts online). I got all of the SS/SC shocks and struts from them for $295. It was an awesome deal.

I met the owner of Pedders (company which makes ALOT of GTO suspension parts) over the weekend and talked to him about possibly doing things for the cobalts. I even got to ride in the Pedders GTO (which was fun)

Next time I see him I'll have to mention something about development on the cobalts as the GTO is no more...hmm...would be a great idea

New suspension installed

I picked up my newly upgraded car from the dealership yesterday and wow...just wow. I'm loving the feel of my vehicle. The lowering is subtle but makes a big difference if you really know your car. The biggest difference is how it brings the back down and level out the vehicle (I always hated how its ass sticks up in the air). Turning is much improved as I expected but what I didn't expect is how much better it feels when I accelerate and brake. The vehicle responds instantly and smoothly without any leaning forwards or backwords. She really feels like she's stuck to the road. Also, pot holes don't seem any worse than they were stock, the ride didn't get really bumpy as I was afraid it might.

In summation...the SS/SC shocks and strusts with the eibach pro-kit springs...impressive!

Tokico is making a set of Adjustable Shocks and Struts, which im waiting for if not Im getting the KW Variant 2. But I already put on the SS S/c springs (freebie) and it made a world of distance, plus my strut bar should be here soon.

Would the SS struts and shocks work properly with stock 2.2 springs or would the car just handle very oddly?

The factory suspension comes in three variants

Level 1 Quality ride Shocks Struts Springs
Level 2 Quality Ride Shocks Struts with Performance Springs
Level 3 Performance Handling Shocks Struts and Springs

^^^ But to answer youre question Yes, I think it would handle funny, some people are finding the entire SSS/C suspension for sub 300 on the net thats the route i would go

TTR has it listed, but it's not out. Lots of sites have it listed but it was never developed and released for our cars. Best you can do is a Progress rear sway bar, and if you are driving a base model you may be able to install a stock front swaybar from a SS. Not sure on how feasible that is or what's involved but I thought I would throw it out there for discussion.

what Ion guys do is run the Progress Rear Sway Bar and then grab a Redline front sway bar and bushings, it is apparently a night and day difference.

those prices for struts though, I would never pay for an OEM set.
