2.2l on SS/SC springs

I'm purchasing some SS/SC springs this week and I wanted to know how they look on a LS or LT, I've seen some pictures where the front looks mad low and the back looks like they are raised up. Kind of awkward looking? I just want to see what they look like and peoples initial reactions.

It's like a half an inch drop

So basically put one person in each seat of your car and thats what it'll look like

go with Tenzo springs, they'r eonly $150 shipped probaly not much more then you would be paying for SS spring sand you get 3 times the drop.

your going to be unhappy with SSSC springs... the 2.2 is so high that it still looks to high with SSSC springs.

any lowering spring is going to make ur ride rougher. just the way it is. its not going to go "out the window" but u will def feel bumps more.
even SS/SC springs will make ur ride a bit rougher, there stiffer.

place a bet...

the only drop off a spring that looks good IMO is from Eibach Sportlines...

SS/SC spring are basically going to even out your car. maybe drop you .5 in the front and 1" in the rear. There is a difference in the springs handling as they are better springs. if you are looking for a slight handling increase and slight drop for little to no money, this is the way to go.

That's what I was looking for and I'm very happy with ss/sc springs. They cost me next to nothing and with NJ roads I wasn't interested in more than a slight drop.

And the SS/SC springs will be fine with the 2.2 struts or should he get the struts that come with the ss/sc also?

get the ss/sc struts or some koni yellow's. I'm a firm believer that the ss/sc springs w/ koni yellows will provide all the fun daily driving you love.

Just to give you an idea, the eibach pro kit isn't much lower, if any, than the ss/sc springs but they are just a bit stiffer.

A dropped cobalt will sure feel fun, but each person has different tastes for ride quality.

SS/SC springs/Koni Yellows. Then be happy. and still out handle the great majority of lowered cars.

I dont feel like dicking around with Koni's. I kow they are a bitch to install and I dont have the cash flow right now for them. I figure cheap SS/SC springs on my stock struts will hold me over until. I wanna do it in stages, I'll get Konis a couple months after the SS springs are installed. Then when the Koni's are in, I will sell the SS springs and upgrade to sportlines...I have a method to my madness. sort of

I just got my ss/sc springs in the mail.

It'll make a nice lil difference.. nothing huge

Ride should be better too, better springs

I figured since I was doing my swaybar links and control arm bushings, I should do the springs too

Your stock shocks should be fine for now, its not a huge drop, so they should wear too fast..

With the Tenzo's you'd have to worry more

i just put mine on today and the difference is amazing. you feel bumps a little more but the car doesn't rock as much when you shift or floor it. it was worth every penny to me.
