I read a couple posts that these cause some sort of vibration or knock in the front suspension. Was curious if anyone had any more input and if it is fixable? This is for the SS/SC model by the way.

 

Yes they do. I have a bad vibration when i get on the throttle hard. It gets worse has you go faster, but when you are at cruising speed(70-80) its really not noticable. I was having the same question, but i have not found an answer. I hope when we finally get struts it will help that out. What i have heard is that we are getting the vibration cause the engine is sitting lower and the drive shafts are more level now.

 

Well that blows. I am absolutely in love with the aggressive look of the H&Rs, but don't want any issues when I lower it. Guess its gonna be Sportlines or Progress. Thanks!

 

u are riding on stock shocks, of course the ride is going to be harsh, upgrade all your bushings and WAIT for some shocks and you wont get any noise. H&R are better than eibach in everyway possible. its just a matter of matching them with shocks, pretty soon eibach owners will experience the same thing once their shocks blow. and they will.

 

I agree 100%, but it sounds more invoved than just new struts...It seems that its the actual amount of drop that is causing the trouble. Some sort of change in geometry of the front suspension or drive axles. I don't think new struts are gonna fix that, but I could be wrong.

 

struts/shocks, u need an alignment, and possibly new strut mounts. possibly bearings are shot.
