Bent control arm

can you replace a FE3 (2.4L) front right control arm with a FE5 (SSfi) control arm?

And how difficult is it to install myself? How long would it take? Have jack, and stands. Any specific tools i'd need for the job?

Read this great big sticky!

https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/suspension-67/suspension-brake-facts-fe1-fe3-fe5-j41-jm4-jl9-137064/

According to it, the LCA's of the FE3 and FE5 are NOT the same part. There is probably a difference in the bushing.

As for installing it, you will need really big wrenches since they are big bolts. But otherwise no special tools are necessary.

yes you can but you must replace them in pairs as they change the castor slightly (gtherefore the wheelbase measurement front wheel to rear wheel will be different if you do not change both) I have used FE5 PM me if you want you are in BC right?
