best brake pads?

Can anyone a good brake pad for an '06 SS/SC. I'm looking primarily for a pad that produces less brake dust.
thanks.

Hawk are probably the best pad on the market. Although they don't make any brake pads for the SS/SC yet. If they ever decide to make them the HPS series of pads is what you would want for the street and light to moderate track use.

if I understand correctly, the red are more of a performance pad. Intended more for racing applications(?) They may wear quicker than the green. Not positive about this though.

red stuff i wouldnt recamend since certain pads wont start working well till properly heated up as they would be in racing that is why they make 2 kinds if you have a daily driver and want good braking go with green stuff

Oh, thanks for the tip buddy. Mine is my daily driver. Would changing the rotors to crossdrilled like the 272 help with the dust as well?

for longer lasting i would go slotted only rotors but if you want the best braking and dont mind replacing rotors often then cross drilled would be good

I would cancel that order for the red stuff pads, those are pretty much a race pad and need to be heated up ALOT before they will actually work good. Order the green stuff pads instead. And on a side note, has anyone ever smelt the EBC pads, they smell insanely weird, maybe because they are organic?

lmao. I don't want weird smelling anything on my car. You mean when you press the brakes you can smell something?
