best pads with oem rotor

best pads with oem rotor

Hey I was just wondereing what u guys thought was the best brake pad to go with oem rotors? Preferably something I can buy at a auto parts store

Textar, aka Pagid. They make a lot of good stuff, but the rear caliper design is kinda poopy. The OEM rear pads are pretty aggressive though, and can leave uneven pad deposits. If you're not using the car on track, I'd suggest changing the rears to Hawk HPS or ceramics.

Listen to ls1fbody's recommendation for the fronts though. The OEM Brembo/Ferrodo pads are excellent.

Why do you say not to use hawk hps"s on a track? And what about a ceramic brake like a duralast gold? Is that any good?

The HPS in the rear is kinda marginal on track. It depends on how fast you're driving. It's likely that you'll cook the HPS and the OEM Ferrodos up front if you're going fast.

I have a separate set of track pads, Cobalt XR1, that I use for the front, and I run the stock rear pads.
