best suspension set up
so i have been out of the cobalt scene for a few years now in the sense that i havent been around the forums or been reading up on what products have been released and tested.
i did see that pedders can start to sag if you track the car.
but i was curious as to what set up would be the best set up that as far as suspension goes(springs/shocks and struts, coils) i want lower than stock, i dont want to slam it but i want it to be noticeably lower and still retain/improve handling and ride quality.
thanks for the help

Well, the only springs other than Pedders that will improve handling is YYZ, but they don't really drop. CM handle about the same as stock for a half decent drop. Think about getting a rear sway bar from powell and koni shocks for the front and rear that that's your lot.
YYZ Springs, and Koni's are your best bet. YYZ Springs don't give much if any drop though, so Pedders and SSC would be the next best alternatives, and again paired with Koni's. If you're thinking coilovers then your best bet is Stance(HSD), or KW V2's. The YYZ Springs do have dead coils though so keep that in mind, a lot of people freak out over coil bind which usually is not a good sign, but the YYZ Springs were made with the intention of having dead coils (the reason why is in one of Wangspeeds posts IIRC).
Keep in mind springs won't really do as much for handling compared to the struts/shocks, and a good sway bar.

For a street car this will do you just fine when to handling
YYZ springs
Koni shocks and struts (Not really necessary unless you plan to make use of them, if not stock is OK)
Powell Hardcore rear bar
Powergrid end links
Most important, a good set of tires

I have to disagree with some of the others on this site. I have H&R sport springs and a TTR rear sway bar and the handling is much improved over stock. It is clear that coil overs are the best as far as adjust ability and ride. It all boils down to how much you are looking to spend bc if you just get lowering springs you still need a good set of struts and shock to support the springs and the Konis aren't cheap.
Pedders
Koni Yellow Rears
Powell Hardcore Bar
This setup is holy crap fast in the mountains for me. I also run 235/40R18 tires and right now I have Michelin Pilot Super Sports up front and Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's out back on stock wheels.
Heres how mine after I did the OutlawRun Rally and how it sits...

Pedders only but i had 225/40R18 Nitto NT05's on the front and the 235/40R18 PS2's out back

Next to my friends 1500 with factory lift and 37's

From this past saturday on a mountain run up 276 down 215 and 178 in NC
