Brake Pad upgrade?

im not talkin about the $800 conversion, i just want some better stopping power for my LS
i didnt see any EBC or hawk stuff out yet, any ideas?

just my 2 cents but y would you want to upgrade form the stock breaks if they are not even warn down to the point that they stop working good? maby its just me but thats just a wast of money. but thats just me.

not driving it hard at all, but i know that OEM brakes arent the greatest, and i dont mind upgrading brakes if it isnt needed
better to have more power than to have less, get my drift?

y dont you upgrade the engine first then come back to the breaks. the breaks are fine.

I agree engine mods b-4 anything is key. And if you wanted the car for speed you should have got the ss/sc, not an ls that is prob an auto.

He never said anything in this post about wanting speed, just better stopping power. I personally wouldn't upgrade them yet. And some people can't afford an SS/SC right away, so maybe he is going to turbo it. Or even if someopne could afford the SS/SC, would be a waste to pay for a superharged car and remove it to turbo it.

just my opinion, but i think that bigger brakes, and better gripping power are they keys to going faster, the later you are able to brake going into a turn the faster you will be. remember that horsepower means nothing. going fast in a straight line is for beginners. turning corners fast is for itermediate drivers. experts find their own course, so i think this guy knows what hes doing when one of the first things he wants to do is upgrade the brakes...... thats just my opinion.

hey ive got a 06 ls and im happy with my choice yeah an ss would have been nice but too much money for now plus customizing is half the fun
