for the 05 cobalt ss/sc the brake system do we have self bleeding brakes? im in the middle of changeing my brakes right now an had to get a new caliper cuz the pistion was shot an broke the seal an now im trying to find a how to on bleeding the brake line...only found one for the rear drums but the ss/sc has rotors all round...
does anyone know if we have the self bleeding system if not do they know where the how to is?
Thanks in advance

Should be a nipple on the caliper with a rubber cap on it. Takes prob an 8mm wrench. If your putting the caliper on you should have seen it. I have not bleed them though this is from my experience. I could be wrong.
Bleeding the brakes is the same. Cars off pump the pedal till it gets hard and hold it. Open the bleeder valve with brakes down. Air will come out. Tighting said bleeder valve. Let foot off brake and continue pumping till hard and repeat. It is important that:
1) Car is off
2) You dont run out of fluid, keep checking it if your running through a lot of air.
3) You repeat these steps and make sure the brake is down hard when you are opening up the bleeder valve.
4) Once you get fluid do it atleast three more times before you call it quits to make sure that all the air is out of that line.
5) Chances are that you might have to bleed all four lines. Just do it if the brakes arent 100 percent because it is a relatively simple process and doesnt take much time.
6) Put the rubber cap back on to the nipple because in 60000 miles or whenever and you have to do it again, you do not want those rusted on and having to either pasturize them with a torch or replace the caliper again because you broke it.
