Brakes Upgrade! 2.4L SS/NA
Brakes Upgrade! 2.4L SS/NA
well, it was time for new brakes on my 2006 SS/NA,
now with my old cav, i have never done Drums before,
so i always had my mechanic and long time friend of my
dad do the brakes on her. but disc is easy...and lucky me,
my balt is disc all around...so i said to myself "why pay for
parts, which would be just cheap parts counter [auto zone, napa,
advanced auto parts] materials, and his labor...which would be
around the ball park of $400 or so dollars?? told myself, since
im going to do brakes myself on the Cobalt, im not gonna cheap
out.
I went on the forums here, and heard tons of good words about the Hawk HPS line
of brake pads for someone who wanted to upgrade their braking power, while not having something toooo agressive for daily driving. I was sold, went to Turbo Tech Racing, got me brand new fronts and backs. Their service is unmatched! Friendly, always has good advice, and WoW! is all i can say about their shipping! I ordered my pads threw them on a friday night, and they were there by tuesday mid-day. that was like 2 day shipping practically, considering no shipping on weekends! Great prices as well, they deffinatly have me as a repeat customer for sure! Thanks alot Aaron!
ON TO PICS!

im still awaiting my rotors....i went to GMPD and got their GMPP SS/SC style drilled and slotted rotors...ordered the same day as my pads but have yet to hear ANYTHING from them...besides they got my payment...
whenever i get my rotors i will update this thread, with more pics, will have an install, and before and after shots. am also looking into re-painting the calipers [doing it the correct way this time around], changing out the brake fluid for some higher temp performance or synthetic fluid, and replacing the brake lines with stainless braided steel lines!
