Prob. will upgrade when i could come across the tc set up, or may just upgrade the rears with aftermarket pads and rotos, for now it's fine for me, btw HHR SS uses the same Brembo components
Thanks for the plug. And I'd agree that for someone who has access to the factory parts at a reasonable cost. For those who don't want to spend time with both parts searching and fumbling around with more parts change than necessary the BBKs already fit for the car can make things both simpler and quicker. The need for a wheel spacer is interesting...was this because the oe wheel for the factory Brembo is not the same wheel on the ss now?
It's tough to compete at the $1000 price point for true big brake kit items. Taking into account the cost of two piece hat/rotors alone easily pushes the cost well beyond this level.
While I'll be accused of being biased, I'd have to say that unless the savings are perhaps $500 the added funds spent on the aftermarket may make more sense. Obviously not everyone will feel the same.

True had i not come into opportunity with brembos, this would be considered, tc wheels are diffirent than sc hence the need to run a spacer or a wheel that would clear the caliper
