Brembo's on 08 Sport

Anyone know if the shims are required to put the Brembo's on an 08 Sport.
I saw a post where they were not needed but the spacing is minimal and may have appeared to be ok with worn pads.

Yes, highly recommend them. Would not run it without them. Contact Mr Powell. I just bought two off of him.

They came out great. What did you use to clean them up - brake cleaner? or something else? I am assuming you sprayed them with a few coats - will the over-spray on the pistons effect them. Is the white brembo lettering a sticker?

Thanks...

The housings are bead blasted in my Glass Bead Cabinet first then steam cleaned. These are powder coated with everything removed and silicone plugged. Used the old piston seals and wrapped them with PC High Temp Tape.

This pic was taken right at flow out before setting the 10 min. timer.

The Brembo are suppose to be High Temp Stickers.

Thanks... Here are some better daylight pics.

Cell phone light works great during powder coating to look for any missed spots. These are not missing coverage anywhere.

Thanks... Same Red I have used under the hood. It always looks like it is ready to drip off. Received some parts yesterday but still need a few more before fully assembling.

The color looks amazing but the sticker being off center kills me

That's since been corrected. I was lining up the lettering with the pistons and the 2 calipers are different. Better than new at a fraction of the cost.
