camber kit needed w/ sportlines?

i have been thinking about getting a set of sportlines for my 2009 SS/TC. heard from someone that i might wanna get a camber adjustment kit. is it necessary? or just a 4 wheel alignment?
sportlines drop front-1" rear-1.3"

I don't know of anyone who used the camber kit.

All I did was wait a few weeks for the springs to settle in and then a got an alignment.

exactly how much are the leaning in? id like some negative camber cuz i usually tend to take corners alot and end up balding the outside of my tires. lol

Definitely get an alignment, but you dont need a camber kit. Any compotent alignment tech is just gonna grind the splines off your stock bolts to get things in spec anyway, and a filed down stock bolt is gonna be stronger than a kit. Id rather run modified stock bolts than new alignment bolts

Can you explain what you mean about modifying the stock bolts?

The stock bolts have a splined shoulder on them, thats why you have to beat them into and out of the struts. If you file off these splines you get enough wiggle room on the sturt to make up for most camber issues.

How do you figure you can lower your car and NOT need an alignment?

For the camber change lowering there is no need to adjust it, and if the rack is re-positioned you probably dont need to re set toe...imagine that...

How do you adjust the rack? (not THAT rack you dirty minded people) Just shim it with washers or something? I'm a noob with anything but RWD suspension.
