Canuck to Pedders

I'm thinking about going pedders for better handling, but have a quick question.

According the the vendor I'm going to buy from; Modern Performance says it drops a car 1.6 in the rear and 1.5 in the front. If this is the case, I guess the rack spacers I already have on my car is fine (1.5-2.0 OTTP spacers). However I've read it doesn't lower this much, sooooo if I purchase these, do I need to remove my spacers and get the 1.0-1.5 spacers instead or will I be fine with my current rack spacers?

Thanks

Youl be ok. And it does lower about that much. The back isn't very low but pedders give you a raked stance (front is lower than rear) I like em. They feel as comfortable as stock too.

haha why?

all they do is go under the steering rack and they lift it up however much so it is more even after you lower your car

I don't. You don't NEED rack spacers, but they will help. Bump steer is when you hit a bump with the car and the wheel jerks left or right. It gets worse as you get lower. Rack spacers help raise the steering rack up and help bring suspension geometry back into line. John Powell could give a much better explanation than I could, I think he was the one to develop these for the car.

No don't worry I ran SSC Springs (same as your CMs) for over 2 years and never had an issue. I really didn't even notice any bump steer, it would be in H&R and coilover territory that I would make a point of getting them.

We are cheaper on the pedders, and if for some reason not, you just have to PM us and we will be.

1.5 or 2 inch rack spacer? Holy **** that's way too much. I'm pretty sure John will tell you that even an inch for pedders is more than twice too much.

That's what I was thinking, I may just take them out completely. I don't know what to do though.

I'm pretty sure that I recall John telling me something like an 1/8 or 3/16 is plenty. You can get some big ole flat washers and stack them if you need it asap. He told me the exact numbers, but I failed to write it down unfortunately.

PM him if he doesn't run across this thread reasonably soon.

^^^ bit more than an 1.8th lol but you are right. 5 or 6 mm will work fine for most drops, 10 mm for extreme, thats .250 and .500. 1.5 inches is retarded, but that is probably a mistake. Just a flat alloy plate will do, dont machine a recess that was a copied fail lol

So I'm fine then? Keep my rack spacers in?

I ordered this and the drop down menu I put that the car was lowered 1.5-2.0" I don't know what mm the spacer is.
