confusion
i've actually thought about riding around without springs. =/
and yes im a cheap ass, i dont have the best job, i have bills to pay, and i barely have $20 at the end of the week. itll take months to save up for coilovers.

Then you better start saving now. I don't mean to be an ass but if you cut your springs just for ride height you are taking an incredibly stupid risk of suspension parts failing if it's even a **** hair off. Do it the right way, or don't do it at all.
Not to mention if you just hack your springs you're most likely gonna blow through cv joints and won't be able to afford to repair your car.
By the sounds of your financial situation, modding your car is something you don't need to be doing. Just be great full you have something reliable that gets you to your job.

chevygirl, im in the process. i think i can deal with the height for a while, just want to cut half a coil - 1 full coil off the sportlines to even out the negative rake. honestly, im more worried about performance parts rather than cosmetics. was just trying to see what my options were on the free/very cheap side.
If you do it the right way, you'd buy rotated mounts from John Powell, and buy new springs instead of cutting yours.
If the springs were different than what? Stock?
I don't believe any springs should be cut just to get a "stanced" look. Aftermarket or stock.
I was saying that if the springs are cut then it could lead to further suspension problems down the road (pun intended) as the other suspension components are compensating for the spring.
If you're going for a look, save some money and buy the right springs. If the look you want isn't available short of coilovers, then save some more and buy coilovers.
