Question Control Arm Bushings

For those who've got the JBP Poly Control Arm Bushings I have a few questions..

1) How many are required? is it 2 per side for a total of 4?
2) How long was the installation? I don't have the tools to do it myself, trying to figure how much the dealership will charge.
3) Is an alignment required after installing these?
4) Any noticable difference in ride?

If anyone has pictures of the bushings installed I would love to see them.

Thanks for any help.

hey... i got them installed.

1) you need 2
2) it takes about 30 minutes to do per side.
3) no alignment needed
4) handling is better and NO wheel hop!!! no vibe increase either.
5) definately need a press, dont try it if you dont have one.

good product.

yeah, the arm comes out and you press it out. it comes with detailed instructions anyways, so you can't go wrong.

They are $220 for a pair at J body performance.

I have a press in my garage so I can handle it myself.

I agree!! I went and ordered them today anyway. Neither my mechanic or myself could find another maker of these so they have the market cornered.....for now.

You are paying for some quility pieces. Several people have them and they say the wheelhop is gone! I ordered mine last Friday along with the JBP motor mount. Hopefully I will have them next week and all 3 pieces installed in about 2 weeks! Just in time for opening season at my local area dragstrip! This will be my first modifications, I can't justify adding power until fixing the crap that GM installed from the factory that causes traction to be limited!

Bushings Ordered

Hey guys, thanks for the info! I have gone ahead and ordered the bushings from JBP. I talked to my dealer and they will install them. I was also assured that there would be no affect on warrantee (not that there could/should be).

I'm really excited about this mod. If the bushings truely do eliminate wheel hop then they will be worth their weight in gold. What good is adding more power when the car can't even put down what it's got now? If the power of Stage 2 can be put to the ground, this car is going to be a beast.

Thanks for the pic Badmunky.

????????

I don't know what transmission would make a difference. Control arms have NOTHING to do with tranny, so you should be able to use them on either.

Did you read the product info before you bought the bushing? They do a pretty good job on the JBP website!

Probably a couple hours labor I would guess. They always overcharge. I would take it to a regular shop and not the dealer if I were you.
