There's no How To instructions to convert rear drums to discs but this Saturn S-Series Conversion kit can't be that hard to install. It comes with everything you need and is all bolt-on.
Designed for the Ions but appenrently fits the 2.2 cobalts so I'm giving them a try
Review coming in about 3 weeks

I ordered the "basic kit" with Hawk HPS pads just 2 days ago but I didn't want to bump this old thread.

Where did you get the kit from? I'm interested in looking into doing that...I like the idea of having all disc brakes and still having no ABS...never have been a fan, never had it in any car I've owned. I wonder how much stopping distance would improve during emergency stopping with rear discs...

That's right
I ordered the kit last week but there's approx. 1 week wait to pickup the parts needed.
Price was $500 + Shipping for the full kit with the upgrade to Hawk HPS pads

No Problem. Just gotta wait about 4 weeks cause my kit is not shipped out yet.
Hawk HPS Pads are on backorder.
I will make a thread with pics when it's installed

Anyone other than IONIT3 got a pic of this kit installed on a saturn ION?
