Converting SS/SC FE5 to SS/TC FE5

If this is somewhere else I apologize and please send me the link, I don't see anything specific like this anywhere yet.

So my question is if I want my SS/SC to have the small tweaks they did for the SS/TC what parts do I need to get in terms of FE5 hardware? Are the shocks and struts different? If so what part numbers? Are the springs different? If so what part numbers? Also what I may do is just keep my front strut bar, rear sway bar then add in Eibach lowering spring or CA lowering springs and put 235 or 245 wide tires and call it good, but going with more GM parts right now might be cheaper and better down the road but I just don't know enough about the different between my SS/SC suspension and the SS/TC suspension.

Esentially the entire suspension is different, but the most important parts for most people ar the shocks and struts. Part numbers for everything in post #11 of the suspension sticky

Cool man I will check it out and presume it is a direct bolt up. I may do the shocks struts and then do lowering springs with some plus 2 size tires.

suspension 101 sticky?

Nevermind I see it...

There is nothing wrong with 245's I have been rocking them for almost 2 years. 245/45-17. I know they are 17's and not stock SS/FI 18's but they are still 3MM larger in diameter and over an inch wider.

whats your plans for the car? why the wide tire? if its straight line traction for 1/4 etc dont go 245 you dont have enough hp to warrant it you will go slower. If you track your car (real track with corners) you might want the 245's.

Aggresive street driving now and again. Run the 1/4 now and again. Track two to three times a year.

Personally I would go with 235's grip well with no rubbing issues when lowered etc

True, 235/40/18 is about the side diameter as 215/45/18 (stock size) so it should be good to go if I decide to lower it.

I am also on Goodyear Eagle F1 all season, I might go with another set or go with BGF Sport A/S not sure just yet.
