craptastick plastic

I hit a racoon in my 06 2l ss it only did some very minor (plastic) damage i was wondering if i can remove the plastic inner fenders (and leave them off.) just to get that crap out of the way if i ever needed to work on it.
Has Anybody done this? Or am i nuts?

i think you risk road debris and filth getting up the wheel wells, and possibly breaking something. If I am thinking of the part, I had a blowout on my Intrigue and it took out the splash shield. I got so much salt and sand up there. Also, at some point rocks or something cracked the washer reservoir.

I would say, fix it. Also will make a lot of wind noise.

You will end up shooting so much water and crap from your wheel s into your intake filter that you will constantly have codes and be running in limp mode
