Cut springs are an inexpensive lowering solution, however the spring strength will increase dramatically.

You will need stronger struts/shocks to handle the increase, otherwise you will have the "bouncy/pogo" result suggested by others.

Springs are relatively cheap. The real money is in the struts and shocks.

The net result is that you are going to be faced with a $500 (Cdn) suspension upgrade even if you only cut your springs.

You can cut your springs. It's stupid, but doable.

use string, or a ruler, if you can eyeball it, and mark the spring 1 or 2 coils down, even with the end of the top coil. That's where you will make the cut.

We have progressive rate springs. The end coils are slightly softer than the center coils, so the ride is gonna suck, and become pretty choppy.
