The whole strut has to come off ! Get some help to operate the floor jack under the knuckle so you can line up the top nut. Other than that the 4 bolts that hold the strut to the knuckle are splined and you have to tap them out. Put one of the nuts on the bolt about 90% so the threads are not showing & just tap.

Pretty Easy Install !!

Man i did this in just a matter of a couple of hours and have little to no previous experience in working with 4cyl's. Bout the biggest thing i had done before this was installing a CAI on my 01 Z24. Def a very easy mod to do and the look is unbeatable.

The strut knuckle bolts can be a bitch to get out i forewarn you all. They def take some convincing to get them out.

Thats really cool.
I want to do this, but am shy about the install process.
I would basically be doing it in the parking lot of my apartment complex.
Also, I have heard some nasty horror stories about what can happen when the springs decompress when you dont want them to.

Does anyone know if its expensive to have them installed?
Also, is the ride height too low, to where you wouldnt be able to drive up on ramps?
Or would have problems with driveways?
I already have issues in someplaces where I have to drive like an old lady. (Mostly in and out of some shopping centers)

(Sorry for the mini-hijack, but at least its related)
