Drag race set up

This is my first FWD that I'll be talking to the track. From what I've read on here launching a s FWD car is nothing like a RWD car. All my other vehicles are RWD or AWD so when launching the car the goal was to always get weight transfer to the rear tires. Obviously, with FWD I'd want to prevent that weight transfer to the rear. Is anyone running airbags in the back to prevent the coil springs from compressing and thus prevent that weight transfer to the rear?

exactly, drag bags. I was wondering if anyone was using them on thier cars to help prevent the weight transfer to the rear.

Granted these don't fit our car but this is an example of what I am talking about. They go in the center of the coil spring.

Have seen guys run airbags jacked to the max, seems to help a bit.
Never going to get away from the weight transfer, physics really does work against fwd in drag racing.

That being said, there are some serious fwd cars running wheelie bars! Not to keep the car from flipping over backwards but to stretch the effective wheelbase thereby reducing weight transfer off the front.
Do they work?
No idea, never had a fwd fast enough to worry about it myself.
Practical on a street car? Not really but it is something else to look at if you are doing a track only fwd car.

These guys make some, maybe contact them if you want more info.

Wheelie bars are a little overkill for my daily driver. I was just looking for a way to get some consistant 60 foot times and do it in a way that wasn't visible (like wheelie bars) to most people.

Who says you need to have them in there when going through tech? Just wait til you are in the pits all settled in, then throw em in and pump up. Not like you would want to drive there with them in anyway....

StreetDreamz has them on his redline. I believe you can find it in his build thread.
