Drum to dis

I have A cobalt lt with 5 lug I found a wreck lsj would I just need the ebrake cable from the lsj and the caliper and the rotor for the swap or would I have to change the whole rear axle

You'll need to either swap the entire rear axle or buy a disc conversion caliper bracket (Powell makes one). The drum axles don't have any caliper mounting tabs on the hub flange plate.

You'll need to change out your abs /proportioning valve assembly so your brake bias is correct. I found a used one on eBay. It's a direct swap. No programming needed. 05-06 must use an 05-06 assembly. The 07-10's should all be interchangeable but I can't say for sure.

Yes, you'll need different e-brake cables. New ones are under $10 a piece.

I thought the break between the different parts was 05-07 and 08-10

For most things it is. If you check out abs pumps on eBay, you'll see the difference. The 05-06 has 2 brake line inlets and 4 brake line outlets all on the top side. The 07+ has four outlets on top and 2 on the side. Also, some of the electrical systems were upgraded in 07. so, I'm not sure if the modules would be able to communicate if they were mismatched. A good example of this would be the cluster. An 07 cluster won't work in an 05-06
