E-brake upgrade

Anyone know if the stock e-brake handle/boot can be removed and also how to do it so I can upgrade to one that doesn't completely suck? Thanks.

...

So you haven't noticed that ebrake looks/feels like it belongs in a much cheaper and less sporty car? It's embarrassing and a big GM oversight in my opinion.

I agree the ebrake feels like the cables are all stretched out and wont hold the car for ****.

Bummer

So nothing can really be done aside from me taking it apart and trying to do some kind of custom job? That's really disappointing.

I do agree it looks like **** and the housing of it scrathces really easy, maybe the E-brake from a different GM car would work? The specs should be the same, try something off a GTO or Solstice maybe?

That was the first thing I noticed after I bought my car. The E-brake is flimsy and cheap looking.

Something like Mini Cooper S ebrake would be nice!

Wow, ok. This is good. So its not just me that the e-brake on my SS S/C is **** and it won't hold the car unless I pull it all the way up until the last notch.

Annoying

That is the only gripe I have had about the car since I first saw it. I'm really suprised nobody has done anything about it yet.

Yeah I just realized that recently when I parked on an incline. I pulled the e-brake not all the way up and the car started to roll still. I'm not gonna lie, it scared me a bit

That can be adjusted by the dealer. I meant the square and flimsy handle cover.
