Easy lowering Spring Question

I am going to install my progress lowering springs today and I need to know if the tighter wound part of the springs goes at to top or the bottom.

You can tell by looking at the springs you are taking off the car

the ones on the car are all spaced evenly and the new ones have like 4 or 5 rings that are close together and like 3 or 4 that are farther apart.

hmmmm oh you have an LS. I dunno... I'm pretty sure the smaller is at the top, I want to swear it, but cannot.

ok i put them in with the close together coils on top and the first 3 or 4 are touching eachother so does that sound right?
