Eibach Sport line Vs. Pro kit

looking to buy a set of eibach lowering springs for my 2008 cobalt ls to replace my stance coil overs. looking for good handling, smooth ride as well as a low sleek look. not really sure the difference between the eibach pro kit and the sport line other than the drop. does anyone have any insight on the topic?

Pro kit doesn't drop very much at all.

pro-kit will sit your car almost the same as a stock ss......just a little lower in the rear.

If you're replacing your coilovers with the pro-kit, you'll be very disappointed in ride height. However that being said, Sportlines are not the way to go for handling. CM might be a good option for you, however, that being said I'm looking to replace mine with H&Rs because I want a bit more low.

yea i know thats why i was leaning to the sport line, but a guy at my work said that the handling will suffer alot by going that low with the sport line. i want to go low thats why i got the stance coils, but i cant stand the way it rides. and the handling isnt that great with the coils, the spring rate in the rear is not right ant it bounces alot.

will it handle better with the sports or the pros?

I haven't had either one. My CM springs ride good and handle pretty decent and I like the drop. My friend had sportlines and switched to CM and said its much better

i looked into the CM's but they only drop 1.5/1.3 vs the pro kits 1.6/1.8 and the sport lines 2.0/2.5.

CM is 1 and 1.5 and its lower than the pro kit. The pro kit is barely noticeable in drop. And sportlines. Are a tad lower than cms.

They also like to snap lol
Idk how many threads and complaints I've read of sportlines breaking. If you want more reviews then search for them on here. There's probably a thousand spring threads.

Had my sportlines on for 6 years on stock shocks and struts.. no complaints, though the ride is a bit tough (as in you can tell your lowered when going over potholes, etc.) Honestly i think my car rides pretty good though

Actually replacing them with stance coils, because i want more low.

I'm getting the Pro-kit in the next month or so on my SS/SC, but that's because the winters here are absolutely horrible. And from a handling perspective, I've heard there A+++

lol...^^... lots of FAKE sportlines out there also !
I've had them for 5+ years on stock shocks on what has to be the
roughest roads in the country (here) and I'll say the rear shocks let it
bounce sometimes. Koni rears took care of that though
I love the ride height, looks awesome.

I also had YYZv2 springs.......
IF YOU WANT GREAT HANDLING AND RIDE QUALITY get the YYZ.
I could not get over the ride height, looking at my car was back near stock height
and I didn't like only that aspect of the YYZ so sportlines are back on.

just my .02

bringing dead thread alive... but any who...
I have the pro kit on my G5 and they're absolutely worthless drop wise. more of a leveling kit, the rear dropped a little but the front barely moved. I will say the ride is awesome. not much roll in turns, and it handles bumps quite well. but I hate them since I wanted low and they didn't provide. zzp even said they'll drop my car a good height. which was a lie. I have the emails from them saved somewhere for those who doubt they said they'll lower my car enough.

Sounds like a simply case of not researching before buying.

I just installed CM springs and IMO they are perfect drop and ride for a street car. I've only used Eibachs in the past and these are way better.

Though my CM are probably somewhat lower than YYZ, I too wasn't quite happy with the drop despite the good ride- I'm trying my luck with some H&R springs which are currently on their way.
