Eibach Sportline Lowering Springs

Thinking about just getting some lowering springs for my balt because that gap is hideous. I understand I'm going to sacrifice ride comfort for vanity but the ass is just too high in the air for my liking.

If I was to purchase this set from Eibach, What other things would have to be replaced to handle the difference in ride height? I'm quite the noob when it comes to springs / suspension.

It will say to cut your Bump Stops. Some people did... Some people did not...

Install is quite simple, even for a first timer. Pneumatic tools really help, and will save you at least an hour. You have an 08, I'm assuming that's a TC??? If so your golden. If not you might want to think about upgrading to the FE5 TC Shocks and Struts. A lot of people keep their FE5 SC or FE3 set up and have no problems. Just know that eventually you probably will blow a shock or strut.

you technically don't need anything else but i would recommend a set of steering rack spacers to realign your steering box with your steering knuckles once you drop.. i just put eibach pro springs on my ls followed by OTTP rack spacers and even new Moog end links, it handles and feels so much better now..
and like stated before if you're doing this yourself the most important things you need are a spring compressor and an impact wrench!

You won't NEED an impact wrench. You can use a Torx key to hold the strut shaft still while undoing the main shaft bolt. It also helps to loosen the bolt while the struts are still on the car.

Everything else is spot on. Goodluck!

i actually tried this method for about 20 minutes to no avail, which is when the impact got brought out.. it's not a necessity but it just makes everything go so much faster and easier

Well, Money is an issue. I don't know how many times even spending 8 bucks on Plasti Dip got me dirty looks from my wife but when her car needed 3200 for repairs, I didn't catch those looks dishing it out....

I've got a few mods in mind and I'm worried getting just the lowering springs for ~$300 is going to turn into $500 ?

You can find them for around $200 shipped from some of the vendors on here. OTTP has them for $200 without shipping FYI.

Rack Spacers are not required but "recommended." I went without them for about 10k then put them in, didn't notice a difference at all... I don't think I ever really felt bump steer.

As long as you DIY you can spend little as $225. Even less if you buy them used. Belle Tire gives you $20 off a $45 alignment if you sign up for their news letter. I liked them when I had them. Now that I'm on Stance CO's I would never go back though. GL.

I wont buy used suspension. I already had to replace the Sway bar end links and even the prospect of having to purchase SS/TC shocks and struts is daunting.
