Eibach Spring Cracked!!!

hey guys, i posted this over on the g5 forum figured i'd post over here about it as well.
For those who dont know...
I am a 2008 Pontiac G5 GT on eibach sportline springs

recently ive been hearing a noise in my suspension, thinking it was my struts and shocks before i made any adjustments i dropped it off at the dealer to get looked at... and they told me my driver front spring is cracked...
so i called eibach this morning to tell them the situation... and they told me that the only kit they make for g5's are the pro kit not the sportlines... so i told them from the webiste i ordered from (turbotechracing) that it says cobalt/g5 sportlines... so they are going to warranty the cracked one and send me a new one, but said that they wotn do it again since the sportlines havnet been tested on my car and that they list only a pro-kit for the G5, i then explained to them that all parts are pretty much interchangable and its the exact same car.. but that didnt matter to them... so at least i am getting it warrantied this time.. im not bashing turbotechracing at all, but yea. just wanted to give everyone an FYI

You are about the 5th person I know that has had this happen. There's probably tons more that haven't said anything. Makes me worried about my sportlines.

Id argue for them to replace them all due to the fact that if the one split the others are from the same batch. As well as one will be fresh the others a bit worn.

And a G5 Gt is just a cobalt SS/NA/Sport

I would explain to them it is unsafe to replace just one stpring, you at least should change both fronts. the ride will be different between the two. the rears would be fine to leave alone

So they list the Cobalt and G5 Pro-Kits under the EXACT SAME MODEL NUMBER.....but the Sportlines aren't compatible. What a bunch of horse ****.

It would probably be a good idea and sell them and make a few bucks off of them and use the money to buy ones specific for your car..

because if one cracked, another will eventually. . .

lol that's not how a warranty works with anything. you buy a tire protection program, one tire blows up. are they going to replace all four or just give you one new one?

Tires are a different story as they may not all come from the same batch and that can be argued. However springs will be boxed in order for each set. I realize thats not how warranty works. But in this case i believe it can be warranted. If eibach would like im sure he could ship them back (if they provide the return shipping).

And honestly warranty does work that way in certain cases. I work for a radiator company. If we have 2-3 of the exact same product come back with issues we pull all of that model radiator we have in stock from the shelves and check the production dates. Furthermore if the customer requests we will swap it out with a different brand.

Sportlines really aren't that low, I kinda wish I had gone with H&R's. God forbid one of my Eibachs snaps in half like this.
