which eibach springs should I get?

EDIT: I was looking at pro lines and didn't realize it. I meant to look at the sportlines. That's why I was confused. So my post below is pretty much useless now.

Ok now my car comes stock with "sport tuned suspension" I'm assuming this means I have the ss/sc springs. Now eibach has springs for "cobalt", and "cobalt ss". My front measures 1.6 and rear 2.5. The cobalt ss springs from eibach says .0 front and .05 rear. The cobalt springs say 1.6 front 1.8 rear. Which one should I get? The cobalt ss or just cobalt? .0F and .05R for cobalt ss doesn't really sound like any drop period.... but ill leave it up to you guys since you guys know which one is better. Sorry for being such a n00b I've never purchased lowering perfomance springs before.

sportlines.... and you don't have the ss/sc suspension...

And the prokit lower you a little, but the sportlines would be your best choice.. that's pretty much what everone gets. (as far as eibach goes)

you wont be happy with the pro get the sportlines, its the only decent drop... and god does the cobalt need it.

Oh wait thats right oops I looked at the wrong one. Ok so that means 2.0 front 2.5 back. But wait does that mean that's the drop from whatever I have now? Like does that mean it's lowered to .6 front and .0 rear? Or does it mean when I change it it's 2.0 and 2.5? Also if I have "sport tuned suspension" shouldn't that mean I have the ss/sc springs? Cause I'm lower than a base balt but the same height as an ss/sc

I beleive that not to long ago a member suggested that you put spings on your car and you said "Have you ever driven around staten island in the winter time, the pot holes are huge" or something to that effect?

I thought you didn't want to lower it because it was "low enough as it is and scrapes going into driveways"

Puh-lease. I drive mine off road everyday because i have to park in the "grass overflow" usually at school.. well its pretty much mud/rocks/dirt and no grass, going up and down hills.. I need all the ground clearance I can get. haha.

You have some more research to do, my friend. Lots of research.

And if some idiot on a messageboard influenced you to spend hundreds of dollars on your car because they didn't like it, well.. I almost feel sorry for you.

Get sportlines man. Do not get the pro kit, they will barely lower your car.

pro-kit is just stiffer. the sportlines are stiffer and lower the car 1" in the front and 1.3" in the rear. you have the FE3 suspension, SS/SC's have the FE5. your springs aren't as stiff, the struts have different valving, and i think you don't have the better lower control arms. you do have a similar ride-height though.

don't mod your car because of other people. that's the wrong reason to do it, for example, i'm putting tow hooks on my car. will i get flamed, probably, do i care? no. people respect me on here because i have valuable input where i have the knowledge, and i don't make useless threads.

everyone else: don't bash CC08, he's asking because he sincerely doesn't know, and we're here to help, not criticize, especially in this particular thread.

hope that helped you out man, good luck.

I've never downed you or whatever.. Not saying I respect you cause the way I am their arent many on here I do, just from some Ive met. Anyway if your going to let the opinions of idiots run your bank account and tell you what to do with YOUR car then like said above, i feel sorry for you. If you are interested in the springs get the sportlines. Im not trying to be a dick cause I hardly ever drop in and comment but Ive seen ya around and your letting everyone get to you. To Each His Own.. just remember that and **** what they say/think

np man, you didn't know and that's what we're here for.

fyi: you don't need the red bold stuff in the original post. ignore the flamers, and take the advice of those who give it.

I think putting some more performance mods will help my car be better for car shows cause don't most people hate cars that are all show and no go? I was thinking of some drilled and slotted rotors too. See the good thing about springs and rotors are they're both appearance and performance mods so its killing 2 birds with 1 stone. However I really have no use for the rotors as my car is a DD and I don't even drive it much. That goes for the springs too like I been saying lowering my car will only make me scrape the bumper really bad with the way the roads and driveway entrances are here. Even a car show guy who works car shows said it's best to not lower a car around here. My car is 6 months old and I only have 2750 miles on it. And I changed the title on top cause now this topic is useless cause I looked at the wrong ones and didn't realize it so there's really no use for this topic anymore.

Quick Reply: which eibach springs should I get?
