FE5 Conversion

I have a 2006 SS/NA and I was thinking about redoing the suspension, putting the FE5 struts/shocks on it. Would this prove beneficial? Or would it just be better to get lowering springs and a thicker sway bar to provide a moderate handling change? I would say coilovers but at the moment the are a lil pricey for me. Wat do you guys think?

If you mean the New TC's FE5. I would guess a hair better handling. But if your shocks are still good its sort of a waste IMO. If your looking for better handling look into a swaybar. If you want a lowered ride look into springs. There are a few companies making performance springs that dont drop as much but have a better spring rate for improved handling.

If you just want to improve handling and not change ride height yes you could swap out to the FE5 TC springs and Struts/shocks will give a little boost. From what I have read Pedders make a great perfomance spring its close to ride stock ride height but is more to improve handling if I remember there like $360. Adding an additional sway bar will stiffen up the rear and help some too. Its totally up you and what your price range and want are?
If you want to drop your ride thats different. I found I didnt like Eibach sportlines but many people do. I have Progress springs and like them better than sporlines I also have a rear swaybar and Koni shocks added. I really like the way the car handles. I dont have experience with ARK, H&R, B&G, Tenzo, SSC so I cant give any feedback on them. So maybe someone who does will read and give there opinions?

Well, I want the car lowered and have a nice gain in handling.
I was thinking about this set-up from eibach (click this for link).

I was wondering how big the front eibach sway bar is though? If its thicker than the 22mm FE3 sway bar I have in my car already. It doesn't say on the website. Any ideas?

I've heard (from a suspension guru) that sportlines are a step backwards in terms of performance

Step backwards? Hows that, bc of spring rate or something else?

Sportlines can be very harsh on roads and they tend to pogo over bumps. I had them and took them off and went with Progress Springs if I had know about the Pedders springs they would be on the car. I do like my Progress far better than Sportlines. Here is a car from a member on here that has the Pedders springs the stance is nice and his car handles very well. (Hope its alright I used his picture)
