finish basic setup or go coilovers..?
Hey guys,
So, I have the FE3 suspension on my 2.4, and I've added the DC front strut bar and Sportline springs.. I plan on also adding beefier sway bars.. But the point of my question is to ask what I should do from here out.. Should I complete the "basic style" suspension with adding Koni Yellow's (or similar) to my Sportlines, or should I just buy some coilovers and completely replace both the struts and springs? I like the look and handling with my Sportlines, however the harsh ride is getting old.. I'd assume either a stiffer strut or some coilovers will aide in this.. Suggestions..?
Thanks!

i guess its all in your budget and what you wanna do with the car.....are you looking for a good drop and less handeling? are you looking for an ok drop with amazing handeling? are you looking for a low drop with good handelig? remember being slammed to the ground might look cool but wont make your car handle better. chances are you will cause more problems for yourself.
my honest suggestion would be if your on a budget go pedders springs and ss/tc struts and sell off the eibachs. a proven setup would consist of the ss/tc front sway bar, ottp hardcore or street bar with the ss/tc struts and pedders. if you want to spend some cash stance makes the only really nice set of coilovers for the cobalts until you start spending serious cash on something like ohlins.

As stated above, it's really about your budget...here's my list of suspension mods to do and that I have done:
Sportlines (now)/ Pedders in a month or less
SS/TC struts/shocks
OTTP Street Bar (rear sway)
Pedders steering rack spacers
FE5 LCA's with OTTP spherical bushings
FE5 front sway bar
Ark front strut tower bar
I need to buy the LCA's, bushings, and front sway setup still. Those will be put on at the end of this summer or early next spring. The Pedders, SS/TC struts and shocks and rack spacers will be on in a month or so. I already have the rear sway and front strut bar.
If I were you, I would keep the Sportlines if that's what you want (or sell for Pedders), get SS/TC struts and shocks, get some steering rack spacers for the springs. I don't think you need to go coilovers unless you're going for ultimate handling and have that kind of cash to blow.
The only reason I don't do coilovers is I can't afford that kind of money all at once. I can piece everything together the way I am going.
