Front drivers side squeak
Front drivers side squeak
I checked it out after the noise started to bother me, and noticed my strut was a little bit oily on the base. I'm currently on my stock fe1 suspension with progress springs. I have new fe5 struts on the way, but should I replace anything else suck as the strut tophats or anything?
Its really up to you. Ive seen some guys get new bearings. But I didnt.
Your control arm bushings might be squeaking to. I still had a squeaking after I replaced my struts and it ended up being the CA bushings.

its a good bet the sway bar drop links are bad...powergrids the best, moog cheaper, stock are stock.
strut bearings rarely fail on balts unless springs are assembled incorrectly. align the top spring hat tab with the coil spring end when reassembling and make sure the lower spring end fits hard into the socket in the lower spring table. dont overtorque the little strut mount bolts (3 on top) they are 15 ft lbs.
etc.
