Good Replacement REAR SHOCKS??

So ive taken half my car apart to find a clunk in the rear, today I actually took the day off work to take the whole suspension apart and only got to the rear shocks.

After completely removing the rear passenger shock, its obviously toast.. a little ride around the block with it removed and the clunking is gone.

Problem: Non of the dealerships carry the OEM Cobalt SS/TC 25793745 - ABSORBER, and they want $140 a shock.

Im thinking getting a generic Monroe 5779 shock meant for the base models is probably a bad idea too.

Given the position im in that I have to order a new shock(s) I figured I could put in stiffer ones...

Is there a 'go too' set to grab for the SS/TC? Or just get the OEM online?

Thanks!

Koni rears but they're more expensive. I've been happy with the fe5 kyb I put on mine. Price is good too.

Also with the Koni's if I am not mistaken you get a lifetime warranty, might be something you want to consider if you got the cash for them.

Skys the limit sort of. Im only interested in the rears though, and ZZP sells them as a front and back set. Where can you buy the koni yellows, but just the rears?

If you send a message to ZZP I believe they will split them up. Believe their a bit cheaper on tire rack but I actually bought mine through TWM. I have Koni's in the front and rear, highly recommend them.

look at crate engine depot for OEM rears. They are your next best option to Koni. Good luck

How much did yours clunk? I have a clunk when I go over speed bumps but never anytime else. Always thought it was the (stock) exhaust bouncing around.
