Yes the 2.2's do have wheel hop, mine was bad as hell. Dont waste money on the harder mount that will make your car feel like crap, get the Powell rotated trans mounts. I bought them and so far its the best mod I did for the car. Vibes are hardly noticeable and clutch feel is better, it shifts smoother, and I dont have any wheel hop at all.

I highly recommend the Powell rotated mounts. I had them on my 2.2 and have them on my SS. Excellent way of curing wheel hop!

I've read the complete thread. Secondly, I have had Powell F23 mounts installed in my 08 2.4 since last summer. I can't comment on the TTR transmission bushings, but I can tell you that the Powell rotated mount for the F23 eliminated wheel hop, even in the wet. I have no additional aftermarket mounts on my car. Only the Powell F23 rotated mount package.

I would think that the TTR transmission bushings (which I assume are stiffer than OEM) "may" lead to additional vibes. You might want to install the Powell package, and if the vibes are intrusive, return any other bushings to OEM.

I have the TTR trans mounts/bushings on my 2.4l HHR with LSD and no hop. Wheelspin has been so smooth I thought my clutch was slipping, but the lines on the pavement prove otherwise. The wet is fine too. They do send some vibes though at certain rpms, but can't beat the price.

Did you ever fix your wheelhop issue?
