H&r springs, have a weird problem

I put my h&r springs on today no problems, everything went on perfect, so I bring it on the road and the first thing I notice is driving 0 to 20 mph it feels like it has a weird shutter side to side motion in the front? After that it's fine and drives normal, I call a shop and they said alignment won't fix a "vibration" it sucks and I'm pissed can anyone help!!!???? It literally feels like my front wheels are loose

you dramatically changed the angle of the axles. the axles are now stretched out a little from the drop, making them bind

when you installed them did you place the top spring hat tab to the inside of the car towards the engine? If not the angularity of the hat is wrong and it will bind on the white plastic ball bearing race on top of the spring hat.

To be honest I don't know, I thought everything went back exactly how it was everything fit into to place, the springs fit exactly the same on the bushings as the stock ones?

yes but it is easy to miss the tab on the spring top hat and if it is not right, the spring vertical alignment will be off as the hat sprint seat is not parallel

Ok, are you talking about how the top of the spring mounts in the bushings where the strut screws in? I thought there was only one wayit could go on, sorry I've never heard about this happening so now I'm just gonna worry bout it till I figure it out

there was a piece that you put on, it was round and kinda taller on one side. it holds the springs at the right angle... if the tab on it is not facing directly towards the other side (in) then your spring will kinda try to lean or bulge to one side or the other...

ok ill have to check in the moring, if anyone can get pics of the tabs and how they should be set that would be awesome!! i tryed looking in the how to but can find anything

could tha camber and toe angle make it do that too

ok i just measured from a flat surface to my middle fender wheel will in the front. 25.5inches driver side and 25.3 passenger side both rears are 26. it pulls a little to the right nothing crazy tho. and i just drove it around the block and it didnt shutter/vibrate so im just gonna go to the dealer and get the alignment done and hopefully that will be that

sparco wheel is myeen. Fricking hub costs me 200 to make internal splines are expensive to make and difficult...imagine trying to sell it here for 225 and listen to the whining - "hey I can use washers and Krazy glue for 20 cents for the same thing".

You have to go without air bags, but I disable them anyway for the track - I dont want to nerf a rail making a mistake and tear up my dash. And if I hit that hard I deserve to die anyway

ok guys. so i woke up this morning started back on the front springs. i found the little tabs you were talking about. faced them towards the inside towards engine and put it back together nice and smooth. same thing still happening it seems to be more when i turn then anything. but now it does not pull at all drives perfectly straight and normal even driving on the freeway it was fine. so guess im gonna go get it aligned today at the dealer and if that doesnt fix it then i guess im just fucked

heres some pics. i love the way it sits

I have the same exact problem. I lowered my car on B&Gs on tuesday and ive been trying to figure out whats going on with it. Vibration from the front end during acceleration... I took it to the shop the mechanic said its too low and the axle is binding, im not positive thats my problem though..

Heres a pic of how mine sits.

So what if it's binding? Then what. And how would I check to see if a endlink is bent cuz I'm not sure what that is?

I dont know. I was told to live with it until the axle actually snaps or to put the stock springs back on. Ive been trying to see my options as to what i can do as well.

car looks good you got the springs installed right and it does not pull. Now deal with the vibration....check cv joint outer if it is worse when turning....also control arm bushings the trailing one....
