sport lines dont drop it enough IMO all the cars that have them seem to have a 2 finger or so wheel gap. im sitting on the tire in the front and the rear. its an even gap across. its 1.4 in the front and 1.6 drop in the rear. Rack spacers are for all models.

ddscobalt - im installing mine next week as well. but i went for a ride in my buddies balt who has them. deff made me glad i purchased my set.

the rates of Eibach to H&R are similar the coil bind is similar. They both imho suck compared to pedders. You wanna tuck the wheels go air ride.

Pedders coil overs' then you can adjust the car until the tires take out the inner fender liners. Nothing on TEIN which means I have not rated ALL springs.... AIRBAGS gotta be the trick for lo riders. There is a Chevy older pick me up truck around here in the summer (it is kewl )with airride....truck is very well done, guy spent A LOT OF MONEY on it

Band saw those stock springs you want a cheap drop....watch the hate posts begin

well. what happens with the lowering springs, in the case of progessively wound spring wire (varying coils) the first 3-5 rows of coils collapse and "bind" together. This leaves maybe 2 or 3 coils doing the spring work. These remaingin coils work hard and the spring rate goes quite high and the shocks have a hard time "damping" the spring. This means that the shocks job is making sure that when the wheel goes up and down as the is spring deflecting, it does so just once per impact cycle. As the shock cant handle this, the car bounces up and down constantly at the rear (like a ricer civic) and that produces a crappy ride.

those front wheels look mity fine! What are they? You will be fine...you friend needs to eat more lol

With Pedders *cough cough* the drop would be more than that. So try tc shocks the 1.0 OTTP hardcore bar and pedders springs 'bout the only thing you would need more is rack spacers, powergrid inc drop link and OTT cabs. I BET that OTTP would give you free original time attack rack spacers *cough hack* if you ordered springs from them etc.

I buy my TC shocks and struts from Gene Culley he is on here, runs a 2.2 s/c G5 (brave man) he is at GM Partshouse and can get you good prices on that GM stuff....

the second to last sentence just killed it. PLEASE dont cut your springs. H&Rs will drop more than your friend sitting on it, the tire will be at the edge of the fender like the pictures i posted.

i was thinking about pedders since they will offer better handling than sportlines but how is the ride quality with those arent they linear? im not really looking to autocross or anything i just want it to look good before i hand it down to my lil bro in a year or two with bearable ride quality lol. ill definitely talk to gene culley about the shocks and struts because online the package is like 350. how bout gettin the ss/tc struts and shocks and cutting my springs a little to the ss ride height? that could hold me over til march.
the pedders are rising rate, similar rate to TC fully compressed but a little higher; the free length and therefore installed length is less so the car trims to a lower ride height. The rising rate curve is different to the TC ( I think it is better ). No problem with ride at all.

I have run cut springs but the reaction here on the forum is wild. Done right, cut springs are fine. Its not hard to do it right , its just most people dont.

Much safer to install Pedders at the get go....

qwick said they will ride like **** on your stock ls struts.
I have them and even when i used to be on stock struts the ride wasnt bouncy or harsh.
I would if i did it again just save and get koni yellows at the same time however.
my friend whos modified mostly trucks took my balt for a ride and said it was the best lowered vehicle ride hes ever been in.
im not saying H&Rs>all just giving you what i can on them since i own them
