Would H&R's rub if I were to put MSR 045's on with 225/40/18's? What spring would give as aggressive look as H&R's without rubbing if I put 235's on MSR 045's?

 

why get rims that 95% of cobalts have...

 

i had 225/40/18s on the car and it was offly close. i think with 235/40/18s it will rub with h&r springs. probablly your best bet would be the eibachs.

 

because these are what look best on the red SS's... why dont u get a real SS instead of a NA noob

 

it doesn't matter, its what you like.. i just got mine today they just look so sick.

 

H&R's drop too much. Your drive shafts will wear out quickly. Go with Peddars springs. They don't lower much in the rear, which is where rubbing issues occur with other springs and 235+ wide tires.

 

So to kind of stay on topic (just a tiny bit)...I have the MSR 045's for my LS and I need tires...probably won't get them very soon, but I keep trying to find a tire I want...I'm switching to Pedders and FE5 struts/shocks when the Pedders arrive in the next couple weeks.

So on my LS w/ Pedders and MSR 045's, would I be safe on a 235/40? If not, then I'm assuming 235/35 would work...my only concern is how does the 35 series feel while driving...is the ride OK? I don't mind a harsh ride, but being that it's my DD I do transport my 2-year-old son around. If nothing else, I'll just get 225/40's, but I'd like some 235's if possible.

I'm thinking about getting them in Hyper Grey but would like some opinions first. I love how they look on Mindrot's car but I'm not sure if I can pull them off on a Crystal Red SS.

The H&R will do fine as long as u stick with the 225/40 18 any bigger they will rub take it from me. The MSR rim is wider than stock cobalt rim and if u go a bigger tire ur fender will eat tire. I had 245/40 18 and it ate into the tire just ripping rubber off on each bump. Went back to 225/40 18 havent scraped at all and the drop is nice. as for the color rim i would go with black.

 

I honestly think the 245s on msr's with the eibach pro kit would look good. but then again I might be partial to the eibach pro's

 

just put them on sunday but i have sportlines with a 2" drop all around

all ss's do not come standard with 10 inch sub so good one maybe all the supercharged one but not the n/a ss's, shows how much you know about your own car...

im not knocking on his tock sub...have you looked in his images you *******, hes got 2 big ass subs...wow fail lol.....and im afraid ss/sc run like what 15-16 its only 205 hp stock, and your trying to make fun of mine thats a tiny bit slower...please stop b4 you hurt yourself

springs feel great! i had them on for a year now and they still feel like i just bought them

WOW you guys all fail at reading. TiggeR was bashing the dude Render2009 because of his "gangster setup" of subs in his trunk that he has listed in his sig. Render2009 called TiggeR out because he was bashing on his SS/NA so TiggeR lashed back at him because he was being a *****.

 

My 08 Sport which is pretty much an SS/NA came with the pioneer sub in the back.

yes sunroof leather heated seats onstar pioneer stereo blah blah blah. All of that.
And id take MSR 045's over the stock SS/NA rims any minute of the hour and any day of the week!
