Exclamation help new rotors/pads won't fit

I have GMPP front rotors and Posi Quiet pads(106.10280). The pad s and rotor are physically too thick to go back together even with the caliper compressed all of the way.
What pads are people using with GMPP front rotors?

I am atrying to fit the bigger/larger surface area pads as I have them for the back too but the bigger ones should go in the front

The top one is compressed making it flush with the caliper frame and the other pad is not compressable.

with tht setup make sure ur compresing the caliper with out the pad on, then out the pad in. otherwise it wont compress all the way.

use an adjustable clamp

try putting the fixed part of the caliper on the assembly first. bolt the fixed part up over the disc and then put the pads in. then try to put the floating piston assembly on there.

is that a front or rear brake? if it's the rear one, you CANNOT put it back together without getting this funky little tool :

Founf the problem the two bolts in the above pic have play so the outside caliper can move. Called Italianjoe1 and he told me.

Also word of advice dont go by the looks of ur outside pad. My outside pad has 1/4 inch l;eft and the inside is down to the metal.

i was going to say this. that whole assembly kinda slides right and left, and with new pads and rotors it's going to be very tight.

They always seem like the rotors are way too think to fit in between the pads i've noticed, i have to work the rotor in between the pads at an angle before I install it on the wheel studs, thats what has worked for me. On the rear, i spent like an hour the other night dicking around with a c clamp before i quit and found out about that that little tool on here.
