'm doing my spring install tonight and cannot get the front stabilizer nut off the whole stud is spinning. Any help would be appreciated

 

are you talking about on the strut?

 

Yeah I got it though talk about a pain in the ass

 

how did you get if off? just tried doing mine but the nut just spins. i tried holding the bold with a wrench but it didnt work. thinking about buying an electric impact wrench

 

anybody have better luck with an electric impact wrench?

 

Holding the inside nut should work just have to find the flat spot

 

there is no inside nut, its a rubber bushing. anyone else have this problem figure it out?

 

right in the front of the boot (not visible) theres a nut type thing might have to move the boot a bit to see it. those things are a pain in the ass, worst design ever. while your at it go to the parts store and get moog ones because those are 10X better and you will probably rip your boot anyways. and if you still can't figure it out, get a sawzall and cut the nut off and put in new moog ones.

 

haha literally going to pep boys to buy them right now because im sick of it. i got them to turn like half turn now there stuck again. im just gonna cut them and put the moog ones in. thanks alot for the response tho man. but i can cut the bolt going from the front where the nut is to the back where the rubber bushing is right?

 

doesn't matter where you cut it, just so long it slides out.
