Hit a pothole :(

I hit a nasty long pothole and now my right front suspension feels off. Doesn't feel like it handles vary well anymore

I thought maybe it was the tie rod but I tried grabbing the tire, moving it side to side and it didn't seam to budge much. I guess my alignment could be off by a hair but would that cause the car to feel like it handles like ****. When I let go of the wheel it'd say it doesn't really pull to the right.

I have the car off the ground right now in the garage, is there anything else I should look at?

I took a pic of my tie rod...Does it apper to be in decent shape to you guys? \/

other side looks the same. The right side was the side that went into the long nasty pothole gouge in the road. I thought I had blown a tire so I pulled over It was that mad. I hit it at around 75mph and the gouge in the road was about 1/10mile long. I couldn't see it because it was night time.

Its the old school ugly weights (16" winter wheels + tires) so I doubt one feel off. I'll check to see though.

yeah maybe its just the alignment, the steering wheels doesn't really pull at all.

Right side was the one that went into the long pothole.

I would say the lower control arm. I've had that happen to me once before with my old cobalt.

Did you control arm look bent or anything that you could visually see? I don't see anything odd about mine.

it was the way the light was catching it. it looked like it had a crack in it. how do all your links and everything look? nothing visually looks wrong..... mighta just knocked the alignment out or over compressed the strut idk.

Have that side checked with a GSP9000 road force balancer. It could be possible that it is slightly bent but hard to see.

Not a huge noticable difference. But I would go to the driver side and be able to fit 3 fingers between the tire and fender, where as i could only fit 2 on the passenger side.

No cracks found on the knuckles and struts dont to appear to have anything wrong.

cant see the pics assuming tire pressures are correct and you cant see anything wrong it is possible the strut is screwed internally. put those two new struts on and be happy...

Thanks everyone for double checking things for me!

yeah I'll be installing Pedders, TC struts and shock, OTTP Stage 1 mount, Pedders rack spacer (once I can get a hold of some) and such... Alignment will follow soon after.

Install will be in about a month or so, so I hope she can hold out

Rooms are held under "create engine deport" ...that brings the price down to $89.00 per night.

Are you coming alone? You can room up with People and that brings the cost way down. Worst case I can get another room...The MN crew will already have 2-3 rooms with people sleeping in the beds, floor, shower, ect...

-Hotel-
Hampton Inn
2061 Shell Drive
Libertyville, Illinois 60048
(847)680-8828

Rooms are held under "create engine depot"

Be sure to specify whether you want 1 king or 2 queen beds.

Here's some of the info I have organized for the MN group.
