Hey! I just installed KW Variant V1s and Powell's HCRSB. The car needs an alignment but probably in a week or two as I wait for it to settle. I wanted to see how low the car can go before the steering starts to bind or any issues with the driveshafts. It is not overly low (about 1.5 finger gap) and I might raise it. When would I need steering rack spacers if necessary?

It looks super sharp now as everybody has seen with other lowered Cobalt SS's!

 

So I figured out, I just raised it back up a little bit. The springs settled and the car obviously dropped more than I had originally set. Now its fixed and I got my alignment last week and the car handles phenomenally. My first set of coilovers and they are great; definitely a learning curve with install and everything but pretty straight forward! I cannot wait to install rotated motor mount (Powell) and the TCABS (Powell)!!

 

Should of done the tcab before you got alignment

 

I hear ya. I won't be installing the CABs until January or February anyway around the time I plan on getting new tires. The coilovers are great so far and I will never look back!

 

How much those kw coils run u? And got pics of the drop?

 

I got them on sale at THMotorsports.com. Good website and seem to be always running deals. It could still be going on. No pics yet.....I have not had any time. I can fit about 1.5 fingers all away around. They can go much lower though. I will probably lower it slightly more right after (during) TCAB install and then get alignment. It should look real good then.
