Thumbs up INGALLS Engine Damper install.

I finally installed mine last night. What was supposed to be a 30 min installation turned into 4 hours! The reason. No tools. I had to run around everywhere looking for tools. I finished at about 12 pm. I didn't think it was going to make this much of a difference, but the car feels like a sports car should feel. Almost no wheel hop, even with out adjusting it. I'm going to the track this Friday and I will finally be able to get the water out of my tires before my run.
By the way. I'm not entirely sure I did a great job of installing it, because of the lack of tools and having the flu. Are there any signs that I should look for to let me know that I messed up on the install and have to fix it. Thanks to Wal-Mart for their great return policies.

Well, It isn't adjusted yet. I felt very little wheel hop. I'm going to adjust it today and try it out. I am looking into those motor mounts you spoke of.

Look for bent brackets. When you are adjusting it make sure that you adjust the daming and the length at the same time.

I.E. - If you adjust the damping tighter the length will get shorter, so you have to adjust the length longer.

I had best luck by unbolting one side from the brackets, adjusting the damping to where I wanted it(11.5 mills I believe), then adjusting the legth to where it lined up with the hole on the braket perfectly.

Also make sure the brackets are parellel and true.

Good advice.

I followed the instructions for adjusting in the "how to" thread... I didn't really move it much from factory settings... so I still get a little wheel hop... but none of this bad "jumping" that it used to do.

this damper will be cheaper, but if the motor mounts yeild more of a result ill spend the cash and get them first even tho in the end its all just pieces to the puzzle
