Well I'm hearing it can be either a blown strut(which doesn't seem likely the car only has 13k miles on it, not hard ones either),control arms, endlinks, or just the springs themselves. The guys at the shop who aligned me said it's just the extra coils rubbing on each other and it'll most likely go away but if it doesn't I can put spring isolators on. How long did it take for the sound to go away?

marisa, the spring isolators will only work on the rear, that's where you would get coil bind, not on the front. Gah.

they wouldn't hurt to get, but they would be worthless in the front which is where you say the noise is coming from right? It's not your struts, trust me.

i'm almost positive its the endlinks, you just don't have enough miles for any of the other problems.

This is the day I installed my Sportlines. Thats just how they come, but it really doesnt matter nor is it a problem. Your bumpstops are still in the same spot and the same length. They will stop the spring from compressing any further when they get hit. The reason the sprong is compressed alot I believe it to create stiffness. which is good for handling and preventing body roll.

the endlinks will be the same for the 07's and no, i really doubt they will break. It's just bumping against the control arm. it only does it on very sharp turns, and bumps while turning right?

Those H&R's look great though. They seem to drop more then the sportlines but then again iv seen sportlines that have been on a year that look just as low as that. None the less they look great and they do what there supposed to do

Sportlines:

H&R:

Definitly a noticable difference in the rear. Front is pretty similar

But now look at the rear wheel gap on my buddys sportlines. Been on a year and virtually NO gap

My endlinks are shot, could be from being lowered for almost 2 1/2 years. Could this drop have caused the endlinks to be shot?

Anytime you mess with the endlinks in a car or at least on a cobalt, they seem to break. One of mine went when I lowered my car, and when I was at the shop changing the springs out the mechanic said it is fairly common to wreak your swaybar endlinks when you change your shocks / struts.

Yep, they are about 40$ a piece from gm

If your front end is clucking when you hit bumps, but there is know other problems its probably your sway bar end links

It's not when I hit bumps, it's when I turn hard to the right and left.

marisa, you will have to get the ones from powergrid or else it will do the same thing it's doing now, they're not broken, just the geometry has changed and they are contacting the control arm, haha. Now i need them too. Mine is def. toast.
