Installing Stance Coils Today!

Anyone have any tips or tricks for installing these? I already read the How-To and have done suspension swaps before, so I've got a pretty good idea of what's going on. Just looking for things out of the ordinary that I may get hung up on.

I'm like a kid on Christmas right now! Haha

Got them all installed. Looks amazing, but there is a loud knocking in the rear when I am backing out of my driveway over a tiny bump. Dealing with Stance now to try and figure it out.

Anyone else have an issue like this?

Next question.

With your coil overs installed and the car sitting on the ground, can you move the rear of the car up and down at all? Mine doesn't move at all. I think there is a problem with the rear shocks.

I don't think the exhaust is hitting. It's still stock in the rear.

did you set your springs then set the height of the shocks?

In the rear?

Just took the bump stops out in the rear. There's a bit less noise, but the car rides like absolute ****! There is no way anyone drives around like this. It's ******* ridiculous. The smallest bump seriously sounds like the entire car is going to fall apart....

dude if your car isn't moving up and down in the rear, then you're probably sitting on the frame, no bueno. sounds like you need to raise it up and set the rebound better. you can fukk some stuff up sitting this low...

Put the spring in.

Jack up the axle so that there is a VERY slight preload on the spring.

Set your shock length.

Remove jack, lower car back down. Done

Keeps the spring from flopping about

the way stance told me, set spring height put wheels back on and lower the car to see if thats the height you want. measure the distance from hole to hole where the shock goes. half that and set the shock at that height.

install and drive. to see if all is well, have fun on setting on the dampning

Front - Tighten the lower spring collars by hand until the main spring doesn't move up or down. You don't need to preload the springs.
Tightened the collars with the supplied wrench. Use the lower bracket to adjust the height. You can start by adjusting the coilovers about 4"
shorter than the stock strut.

Rear - Install the spring and the adjustable perch first. Don't install the damper yet. Adjust the perch and drop the car on the ground until you have the desired ride height. Than lift the rear end up until spring is loose. Jack up the rear arm until the spring is compressed about 1/2". Than adjust the damper and install. This will prevent the spring from moving, making noise at full extension.

saw this on adams post thm.

I'm going to work on it again tomorrow. I went for a short drive tonight it was unbearable. It's not the bumpy ride that's pissing me off, it's the noise. Every single corner bangs over even the slightest bump.

I'm going to raise it up a bit and see if that helps. If that doesn't fix it, they are coming off the car. There is no way in hell anyone on here is driving with suspension this bad. Something is definitely not right.....

The rear shocks are on there as short as they can go. No way the spring is moving.

the shock body adjust, you cant just have it all the way screwed in. read the instructions from my 2nd post with thm version. if that dont solve it use the 1st post with my version.
i had that problem your gettin, its either your over extending it or bottoming out the shock.

But does the front one adjust by spinning the whole lower part of the shock down like the rears do?

yes, you dont adjust it by changing the preload of the spring.

^^There is no way it should be this bad. lol. I've driven some seriously low cars in my time, but nothing this bad. I must have messed something up when I installed them. I'll figure it out tomorrow....
