Knocking/popping when turning the wheel?

Okay just today out of nowhere whenever I turn the wheel there's a creeking knocking and popping sound and I can feel it in my feet... When driving in 1st 2nd And 3rd at cruising Rpms, if I tap the brake there's a single click, or knock... If driving in. 1st and let off the throttle to let it coast there's a few clicks/knocks. Im 90% sure it isn't the axles. When the car is raised and I turn the wheel it don't make any noise at all.

Checked the tie rods.. Control arm bushings I don't think are bad already only 37k on the car. Gonna get under there and check it out again. I didn't see anything before. Anyone else had these symptoms?

Does one half shaft seem to sit lower than the other when wheels are dangling in the air for lack of a better description lol

I don't think it's axles or cv boot or anything with axles. And didn't notice if one side is lower while
Jacked up.

It's hard to explain the noise but it's a knock/pop sounds kinda sounds like when your tightening a rope extremely tight until it makes that stretching popping noise know what I'm sayin?

check endlinks. sounds like that could be it. other then that it could be the trailing control arm bushings. 37k may seem low but i've seen them go bad on a 15k car......you can check those with a prybar and jiggling the control arm to see how much movement they have......

Okay I'll definite check these things tomrrow. Have a set of end links I can put on. I'll check the other things. Just don't see the control arm bushings just going out like that out of nowhere.

Check the simple stuff first. Lug nuts should be at 100 ftlbs. If you only do 85, they will all loosen to the point where your wheels pop over the threads.

Checked all bushings and stuff one of the end links didn't have a washer on it so I put one on it and thought that would be it but it's not. To me all the bushings look like they're fine.. Gonna jack the car up on jack stands and put it in first and then press the brakes to see if I can see anything moving or making noise.

When I took my trans out a week ago, and I was taking out the passenger side control arm bolt that goes thru the subframe, I was loosening it and the bolt was spinning so fast in the bushing that it started burning the rubber bushing.. An the bolt never came out of the bushing, the subframe came off but the bolt didn't come out of the bushing .. Maybe when I was using the impact on it and from the bolt spinning so quick and burning the bushing that caused it to go bad?

But when I checked the bushing it seemed fine.. Driving me crazy as you can tell lol.

It is unusual on a 2010. Quite often on older 05/06 the bolt seizes on the control arm bushing center. You bushing is either torn or rotating in the arm itself. If the fomer, new bushing or my spherical cabs. If it is the latter, then a new arm is probably required....good luck...

Wait.. What do you mean "if the fomer, new bushing"...

And you mean I'd have to get a new control arm if the bushing is shot?

i just got home from the dealership for that click sound and the mechanic looked at it and said he check everything out in the front end and everything was tight, but then he said he did notice play in the inner driver side cv shaft. So he ordered one and will be in in about 5 days. Covered under warranty! Hes not positive that's what causing the clicking, but its a start.
