Koni's VS Stance

Okay so I have an LS stock shocks/struts (fe1's) I also have sportlines on the fe1's. I want to lower the car even further. How much lower would I get with Koni's & sportlines over my fe1's & sportlines?

If It's not a great deal lower like 1.5+ in' then I'm debating on just buying stances and calling it a day.

What do you guys say?

It wont be any lower, either get lower springs or get the coilovers. Thats your only real choice.

Konis might not lower it, but they have excellent valving properties. I have a dyno chart of the rears comparing the Konis and stock FE5. Still waiting on the front graphs. Will share when I've got both.

If you've ever seen a Stance shock dyno, they are nothing special, and are kind of lacking, IMO. Combine this with other non-street friendly issues, like lack of travel, and it's a no brainer for me. Koni or FE5 struts and shocks.

pedders will raise your car from which its at. that goes against your whole "i wanna go even lower" mentality

are you looking to go on the raod coarse or autox this car? if you are dont waste the money on the stances. they are souly a good street coilover and thats it. any company that puts a lesser spring rate in the back then the front is a complete fail when it comes to the design for the cobalt. i had these and went to pedders springs because i was unhappy on the track. the pedders and koni combo or fe5 strut pedders combo will be your best bet.

To the op. U gotta consider daily driving conditions before slamming ur Balt. U don't wanna ride an inch off the ground and Bottom out every where. Another thing, what's the cars intended purpose?? I'm doing fe5 struts and shocks and ssc springs on my LT in a few weeks. Plus I've already got eibach front/ rear sway bars. My car should handle way better then. Just figure out exactly what u want and go from there.

Your on Sportlines and want something with at least another 1.5" or more of drop???

It sounds like the best choice for you is either H&R or B&G Springs, or CO's. Once you get into CO's look at spending easily $1,000 for your basic setup. I went with Stance primarily for their quality and fitment, bolted on in under an hour. Never had the intention of AutoXing my car though.

Yeah im not looking to autoX my car only run it down the track. I just really don't like the look of my car with 17" rims just doesn't seem low enough. Maybe I should just get bigger tires. idk. Still thinking about the stances though. What about pedders coilovers anyone have any idea how low they drop compared to the stances and how's the ride on em?

It sounds more like ur going for looks more than function. I've got ksport lowering springs and they dropped my LT 2" in the front and like 2.5" in the back. Sits real low now but almost too low for the winter and speed bumps

Stance coilovers are for you then.......they will get you real low and will be ok for the drag stripp. Stances provide the lowest ride height for coilovers....the pedders coilovers are made by bc im pretty sure but are branded differently and have color changes. Junk imo
