Looking for suspension info
Okay, doing some research....
I have a 2006 Coupe LT at its stock height. Id like to put sportlines on it with the FE5 setup to drop it an inch and a half....
-Looking for static height and spring rate on Cobalt LT springs (2006), Cobalt SS Springs, and Eibach Sportlines.
Also, I am planning on going with teh TC suspension setup when I lower, but, out of curiosity, and with trying to save a couple bucks (since my stock struts are in the process of dieing and i'm on unemployment) I want some info to ponder over.
-The Top End Monroe struts for the Cobalt have the following stats:
Body Length: 12.375"
Compression Length: 13.5"
Extended Length: 20"
Travel: 6.5"
-How is this compared to the FE5 Setup?
-Finally, after i lower the car, what should i set the alignment and caster/camber setting to on the car?
i think thats everything......

I have a 2006 Coupe LT at its stock height. Id like to put sportlines on it with the FE5 setup to drop it an inch and a half....Sportlines drop an LT more than 1.5", I think its over 2"....doesnt matter if youve got FE5 struts/shocks or not.
-Looking for static height and spring rate on Cobalt LT springs (2006), Cobalt SS Springs, and Eibach Sportlines. I dont have rates for any of those springs handy....and since they are all extremely progressive its actually hard to do anything with the rates anyway unless you have the raw data from the full travel of spring.........My 2008 LS sat at 27 1/2" in rear and 26 15/16" in front when stock @32psi. SS/SC springs dropped it to 26 5/8 in the rear and 26 1/8" in the front.

Ill measure later today but that doesnt matter, leave the bumpstops alone and youll be fine even with Sportlines, Monroes are junque compared to the SS/TC stuff. Go SS/TC and Sportlines.....it rides AWESOME, ask anyone who has them.

Caster isnt adjustable, I like 1.75degrees Camber and toe set to zero. If uou dont wanna do that, just ask for SS specs with as little toe as possible.

Thank you maven. You are just who I was hoping would post. And okay, they are progressive springs. I was wondering that but wasn't sure.
I just wish there was a cheaper way to do it, heh. My struts are in the process of dieing and I really don't wanna drop $500 right now, heh.
