a lot of body roll in corners

Our 08 cobalt just doesnt seem to handle to good in corners. If you go around a corner to fast. it walks the road. I have had the alignment checked, is it just because of the FWD? My work truck handles as good as this thing! What can I do to make it handle better, without spending a small fortune? thanks.

i put in a rear anti sway bar from TTR, i took my little brother for a ride without telling him i did so, he was like "what did you do to your car? It turns like crazy!"

i've heard the strut tower brace is good as well, might be getting one in the spring

Tires would be a huge upgrade in handling, but it will not eliminate body roll.... I'd just get spring and lower that biach

I have strut bar, sway bar and much better tires. I used to be able to over drive the car. I haven't since I upgraded. Afraid to push it any harder cause I'm afraid I'll wreck. The car handles so much better with those 3 things alone. I can't imagine what coilovers would do for me

I can imagine. The car just sucks in corners. I am gonna get the upgrade after the first of the year.

Well if you think about how the SS is setup it makes since why the LS sucks so bad. We ride higher, have worse struts, softer spring rates, smaller front sway bar, and crappy tires.

What I don't understand is why it wouldn't be cheaper for GM to use SS parts in the LS. I mean you would think if they mass produced the better suspension parts it would be cheaper in the long run. By that I mean, why not use the same springs, struts and sway bars. I understand cheaper tires.

Itsa base model cobalt, it wasnt meant to carve corners. But, your tires are probably a big part of the problem, with that much sidewall theyre probably flexing all over the place.

get some springs and lower profile tires. youll notice a bigger improvement right there.

The ride would be too harsh for grandmas and cute college chicks.

i bought some 245 40's bfg's for it just havent got them on yet. and I agree with the why didnt they just build it like the ss? it is supposed to be a sedan, not a sports car. but my old f150 work truck handles that curve better fully loaded. thats what I didnt get. looks like I am gonna upgrade. whats a good spring? Ebach?

I had an 08 LT and eibach pro-kit made a world of difference. Match that with some Strut bars and rear sway bars and ull be a **** star in no-time. Just be careful. Corners scare the **** outta me. Straight road FTW

SS front sway bar $75

SS springs $165

Progress rear sway Bar$145

change in handling: priceless

(strut bars, and tie bars are a waste of money)

a sway bar and srings should help, but really you shoudnt expect much from a stock lt, its an econobox and its gonna handle like one unless you start modding it
