lowered and noisy

I got my car lowered today on SSC springs. Everything is great execpt that i get sanoise coming from the front end (passenger and driver sides) when i turn the wheel.. now the tech told me that there would be some noise until the springs settle and as i drive the car more is this true? i've never had a car lowered before so this is new to me! Other than that noise i have no pogo or anything like that

I've heard that before. But my SSC springs didn't make noise while they settled.

Is it a clunking noise?

It is/was probably the bolts on the links that connect the strut to the swaybar. If they're loose it will make your suspension "clunk"

i got mine dropped to, with sport lines, everytime i go over a bump one the street or some uneven pavement i heard some noise in the back. just wondering what it is? i checked the springs and they seem tight, it didnt do this with my stock ones. wondering if its normal? i know with the sway bars i had put on, the eibach, i heard noises from them because they are ureithan bushings.

hmm it came back again.. its alot better than it was before though, only one side does it now. its more like a creaking/clunk sound, only when i turn the wheel right. I guess i'll give it a few days before taking it in.

Its probably the swaybar link. Bring it back and have them impact wrench the **** out of it

Unless you have an impact wrench it wont work. The bolt spins freely so it has to be impacted into being tight, it cant be done with normal hand tools

i decided to give mine a week of driving before taking it back.. the drivers side seems to be settling in pretty well.. passenger side is slowly catching up.. ive been reading on other forums and the noise i describe supposedly are the springs trying to settle in to their seats.. i dont know whether to drive like a grandma till they settle or make some hard turns and what not to see what happens... i took some nice curves the other night and that seemed to help alot.

i think i figured it what is wrong. The spring seems to be rubbing in the against something in the fender.. towards the top, i wonder if the spring became unseated while driving around the first day... looking at the other side there is no rubbing at all.. i

Check your rear sturts, i had the same problem and it ended up being the strut bolts were extremely loose and my struts almost fell out.

Should of installed them yourself, its easier then a oil change. Check all your bolts.

This is the front though not the rear.

well we found the problem. The strut tower was rubbing against the spring, small ridges had formed on the strut tower, i guess when they made the car.. The tech just grinded it down and problem solved
