lowering my cobalt ls

In a few weeks I will be lowing my 2006 Cobalt LS with the Eibach 2in lowering springs. I had a few questions.

I need to install camber kits as well correct?

What kind of kit would be good for these kind of springs and where can I get the camber kits from? Ingall's good? Any sites you guys can point me to for good prices for springs or camber kits?

Any input is greatly appreciated..

Thank you.

hey man just search, theres plenty of topics with this same question... You wont need the camber kit.

But with that said. Go to Turbotechracing, ebay, NGA, or cobalt-addiction, and then see what they offer. and the kit you are looking for are called sportlines.

So your saying all I really need to do is drop it then take it to the shop to get it aligned?

Would putting camber kits on it hurt anything?

Yeah I dropped mine, thats a hefty drop...but it looks good. Dmen SS got his with eibachs and its pretty good....but he couldn't go over poor condition roads at 70mph without scraping his bottom a bit. If you need tips for how to do the drop do gimme a call dude, there are some tricks for sure

I have stock LS suspension not the LSJ like you but will that still be a big drop cuz I know that would be a big ass drop on a SS but not as much on a non SS.

there's enough adjustment in the stock struts that you wont need a camber kit

2.5" doesn't seem like much, but go outside, measure 2.5" from your fender, and see how low it is. it will be hard to fit a finger in between your wheel gap, unless you have pretty small hands.

I have Sportlines and I've been riding on them for over a year. No issues.

2 inch drop in the front. 2.5 inch in the rear.

I got the car aligned after the springs were in for 3 weeks and it was only out by a small portion in the front which was easily corrected.

yeah I would like to lower my car 2.0/2.5 and put 18" wheels on it with like a 205 tire but I will have to measure and talk to people who have tried this and see if it will fit. I'm doin 18's cuz these cars have such a big wheelwell. Thanks mattmatt those pics do help alot. I needed to see a before and after pic and the car looks good.

I'm running 235/40/18 on Sportlines...and there is no rubbing. I know 2.5" seems like a big drop, but honestly, it's not huge.

Really that's awesome thank you for the feedback now I don't think I want to go with any bigger of a tire than that. Thanks for the input again.

No problem...remember this too: Jackalope is running 245/40/18 dropped on Sportlines and he didn't need any modification.

thats what i'm lookin at with 18's and i've seen a few others that don't rub at all with the 2/2.5" drop you should be safe on that...now the question i have is do i have to wait to get the alignment til the springs settle?
